Figuera
da Foz - 3 days
After arriving in Porto we’ll follow the shoreline due south to
Figuera da Foz. At this wave riding hot spot we’ll gear up, feel out
our boards and learn to spot the best breaks to ride. Offshore, we’ll
explore fantastic Roman ruins and the ancient Conimbrige fort. Nightly
campfires set a great atmosphere for games, stories, surf talk and star
gazing.
Peniche - 3 days
Moving further south to Peniche, a small fishing village jutting out into
the Atlantic, we'll set up our base for the next three days of more beach
action. Amazing excursions offering spectacular views to the Peniche harbor
and vertical cliffs at the edge of the peninsula will be the only things
pulling us away from plenty of surfing, frisbee and beach volleyball.
Alentejo
- 3 days
Once in Alentejo, beginners will have the hang of surfing and everyone will
have had an awesome six day streak on the water. What else to do but keep on
surfing? How about exploring the area's small offshore islands or inland
mountains? Camped close to the beach and nearby Sines, we'll do it all!
Algarve - 4 days
Our last few days together will be on the Gulf of Cadiz in Bordeira - a "must
see" (and for us a "must surf") in Portugal. We'll be doing
plenty of surfing but we won't leave the region without visiting its
spectacular cliffs and famous pottery studios. Before saying goodbyes in
Lagos we'll celebrate our two weeks together and receive our well earned
surfing certificates.
